What our park has to offer:
- Free Wireless High Speed Internet access for the public!! And live webcam. All thanks to UP.net
- Pavilion structure complete with kitchen, bathrooms, showers, and curtain-side feature which creates a 9,000 square foot reception hall. .
- Boat Launch with 3 lanes (launch permit required, available at Township Office, The Hearth, and Chassell Citgo)
- Fishing pier
- Beach complete with swimming raft
- Play Ground
- Horse Shoes
- Volley Ball
- Basket Ball
- Small Picnic pavilion
- Picnic tables and BBQ grills
- Outdoor restrooms
- Ice skating rink during winter season
Plans for future improvements:
The Chassell Township Board is working on plans to improve our park/beach even further. These improvements are outlined in our communities Recreation Plan, available from the township.
-Fish Cleaning Station: a stainless steel counter, sinks, and grinder pump, under a covered structure, to be located near outdoor bathrooms. Grant applied for, we await the results
-Rustic Camp Ground: we have discussed the idea of creating a rustic camp ground (for tents) at the sawdust pile location. We have not yet found an appropriate grant source. Please contact us if you have any thoughts on funding.
-Public Marina: we have discussed the idea of creating a small public marina complete with fuel service, to be located just north of the current swim beach. We have not yet found an appropriate grant source. Please contact us if you have any thoughts on funding.
