Three arrested following Lake Linden assault
Three arrested following Lake Linden assault

HOUGHTON — Three men have been arrested and charged with assault for allegedly attacking a 23-year-old man at the Lake Linden Park July 3.
Mark Karpinen, 22, of Calumet; Cory Just, 17, of Lake Linden; and Gregory Saunders, 18, of Lake Linden, have been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon for allegedly attacking a man at about 11:05 p.m. during a fireworks show. The charge is punishable by up to four years in prison.
The man, who was attacked from behind, was treated and released from the hospital with a broken nose and possible eye injuries.
The three men who have been charged are set for a preliminary examination Aug. 4.
